As a leading seaside destination, there is always something happening in Ocean City but the summertime months are when the town really comes to life.  If you are planning to visit in the coming months then here are just some of the exciting events taking place:-

June

OC Car & Truck Show

Taking place June 10-11, at the Ocean City Convention Centre, this is the perfect weekend for car lovers, with two days filled with all kinds of automotive fun right on the beach.  A new feature this year is the Car Culture Film Festival which will be held on the Saturday evening and will showcase six of the country’s top film makers from the car community.

OC Air Show

Returning June 17-18, this is OC’s 10th annual show and this year will be headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.  Drop Zone tickets will get you a fantastic view of the show and is located on the beach.

MD State Firemen’s Association Convention

Each June, the MSFA holds its annual convention for all of its members with helpful training and educational sessions provided.  2017 is the 125th anniversary of the convention and it will be held June 17-23.  As the OC Air Show also takes place on some of these days we would advise booking of a hotel, such as the Grand Hotel Ocean City as soon as possible.

Father’s Day Fatherhood Beer Festival

Celebrate Father’s everywhere on Sunday June 18 at Sunset Park from 1pm-5pm.  This is one of Ocean City’s newest additions but will no doubt be a highlight nonetheless.

25 Art’s Alive

This fine art show is held in Northside Park and features 100 artists selling their works.  There is also live music, food and drink available for purchase and free art activities for children to enjoy.  Art’s Alive takes place June 24-25.

July

July 4th Fireworks

Take advantage of the excellent Ocean City Maryland Vacation Packages and celebrate July 4th in style.  This event features a free concert at 8pm followed by fireworks on the beach at 9.30pm.

Beach Fireworks

Every Monday and Tuesday between July 10 and September 4 there will be fireworks which can be seen from the boardwalk at 10.30pm.  The ideal way to round off an exciting trip to Ocean City.

OC Tuna Tournament

The world’s biggest tuna tournament celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017 and takes place July 14-16.  Come and see over 100 boats weigh-in large tuna in the hopes of scooping a $500,000 cash prize!

Greek Festival

July 28-31 sees the Convention Centre on Coastal Highway transformed into all things Greek with Greek inspired cuisine, art, music and even dance.

August

White Marlin Open

The world’s largest billfish tournament takes place August 7-11 and sees over 300 boats gather at the Harbour Island Marina on 14th street to compete for $2 million in prize money.

Artists Paint OC: A Plein Air Event

Head down to the Boardwalk between August 9-13 and you’ll see local artists feverishly painting away on their easels for this event.  It is possible to purchase the artists work and they don’t just stick to the Boardwalk but also set up along the Bay and the beach as well.

Wings and Wheels Expo

August 19 is the day of this expo which features private aircraft, customized cars and antique military vehicles on display with refreshments available for purchase too.

Beach Boys Concert

On August 23, the Beach Boys will arrive at the Performing Arts Center for an exciting two shows!

OC Jeep Week

Lots of beach fun between August 24-27 with over 250 Jeeps participating in events such as beach crawls and Jeep jams.  You don’t need a Jeep to participate and there is fun for the whole family.
