Situated just 5 miles from Ocean City, along the Sinepuxent Bay you will find Frontier Town; an award-winning campsite with more than just tent pitches to its name. Frontier Town can boast a water park, miniature golf, a high ropes adventure park, a fishing pier, an arcade and a Western theme park all within its boundaries which makes it the ideal place to head if you want a fun-filled and exciting camping experience. Whether you like things fast-paced and busy or you want to relax and unwind at your own pace, there is something for everyone at Frontier Town.
One of the great things about Frontier Town is that although it has plenty on-site to offer guests, it is also close to plenty of exciting places in the nearby area which would be worth exploring during your stay as well. These include the likes of Ocean City, with its historic boardwalk, 10 miles of beautiful sandy beaches, award-winning golf courses and plenty of watersports and activities for everyone to enjoy, not to mention fantastic hotels such as the Grand Hotel Spa Ocean City Maryland, perfect if you want a night away from the tent in luxury instead. There is also Assateague Island which is well known for its wildlife such as the herds of wild ponies which roam here, Berlin with its antique shops, farmers markets, boutiques and art galleries and Snow Hill which can boast a rich history being a former Royal Port of Entry.
There are five restaurants on-site and a couple of stores which sell everything you would need to cook for yourself with a variety of foods on offer plus a farmers market which has a whole variety of fresh produce to choose from. However it would be a shame whilst you are in the area not to head into Ocean City and eat at one of the waterside restaurants famous for serving locally caught seafood dishes whilst enjoying a pretty enviable view at the same time.
When it comes to shopping, again, there are a couple of stores on-site which would allow you to pick up the basics but for more variety you would do better to head out into the surrounding areas. As mentioned above, Berlin is a fantastic choice if you want a range of quirky and independent shops and Ocean City has a number of stores lining the Boardwalk as well a few larger shopping malls as well.
On-site there is so much to keep you amused, as we have covered above and there are special camping deals to be had throughout the year which are worth looking into as you plan your trip, such as free entry to the waterpark if you book during peak season, for example. A stay at Frontier Town would be perfect when combined with a trip to Ocean City; you would be able to enjoy the best of both worlds when it came to camping and adventures plus all the traditional fun of the seaside.
